Looking for last year's accounts? It's a reward chart.

Is it universally accepted that filing is one of the most hated occupations in business?
Probably, but we all need to do it because if we need to recall something quickly, we will be very grateful that we were so diligent.

However, for those who stood up to get a silver star for the filing, how many of you will still be standing to get a gold star for archiving off site? I'll just pop those back into my drawer.

Enter the archiving reward chart, there are three stars to collect this week, they are as follows....

Bronze - Doing the accounts
Silver -   Filing the accounts
Gold -    Archiving off site

I'm assuming that we all have got our bronze stars so I'll move on.
Have we put our accounts into a filing cabinet or archive box? You have? Well done, silver star for you.
Once the accounts are completed and you have ticked every box on the small rain forest of paperwork the government have sent you in triplicate, you can now archive it off site and get your gold star.
Nice as it is to have a chest adorned with badges of accomplishment, why should you archive off site?

Well firstly you want to clear space and not have archive boxes hanging around, secondly you want to avoid papers being added or removed from that box and thirdly, you want to ensure that you protect the box and it's contents as it is the only paper record you have. And you get a gold star to boot!

Off site archiving should be a part of your office management system, reduce your liability and chance of data loss by using Safebox to archive your accounts and other essential paperwork.

If you get all your stars, not only will your accounts be safe, you could get a trip to the zoo with ice cream!

www.thesafebox.co.uk you local document management specialist and provider of gold stars.
