Today finds me firmly back behind my desk after two weeks of the school run and nappy changing. Yes paternity leave is a grateful memory and I grasp reality with both hands and gain a sense of normality to my life again.
However, being at home with a newborn as well as the older two kiddiwinks did start to make me think about space and actually, we haven't got much what with the cot, changing station, clothes, nappies, bouncy chair, muslin cloths, car seats, pram and all manner of essential and non essential gear, designed with the sole purpose of taking up much needed room. I thought as a seasoned pro (3rd child) that this baby lark would be a military operation with every conceviable angle covered.. err no
You do forget how much space a baby needs, they have more baggage than a WAG on an overnight trip!
Being in the storage game you would expect me to have my own storage unit and you'd be right.
Can I get anymore stuff in it? No.
Does my wife understand the concept of "no more space in the unit" No
Do I have any space in the loft? No
So no prizes for guessing what I was doing on Saturday, yes you're right, I got myself another unit! This is now 3/4 full and I did stand back thinking that maybe next door had put a load of stuff in it, as I only recognised a fraction of the contents. My wife being on an efficiency drive, decided that most of the stuff that needing moving out of the way was mine! Hmmm. Mind you, it is well documented that you do not argue with a new mum suffering from sleep deprivation. Even if she is trying to pack saucepans. We may need those to cook dinner dear, no fine, carry on then.
http://www.thesafebox.co.uk/ can provide you with all the self storage space you need, 24 hour access, state of the art security and you can use it at somewhere to hide when the 3 hour crying baby session get too much!
Need more space?
Have some of ours!
